On November 12, 2016 BPT appeared on WOL Radio's Make the Change discussing the Affordable Care Act.

From May through July 2004, BPT worked as an international student volunteer in the Dominican Republic.

In earlier years BPT enjoyed judo, wrestling, horse-back riding, acting, singing, soccer, Halloween and playing video games. Ben was born in 1985 and attended Suitland High School.

BPT acted in plays such as South Pacific, Our Town, Babes in Toyland Really, Music Man, Pippen, Really Rosie, Skin of Our Teeth, Ain't Misbehavin, and the Wiz. All are by Capitol Hills Arts Workshop (Chaw) except for Music Man, which is by the Hallam Players, South Pacific by the PG Summer Teen Theater, Babes in Toyland Really and Our Town both of which are by the Tantallon Players.

'Toyland' Has Gift Of Youth is a review by the Washington Post of Babes in Toyland Really. BPT sang a duet with Jack Horner, the song is called "Side-by-Side." Also, this page has a few pictures of BPT as the Bear along with Jack Horner (played by Geary Cox) and Goldilocks (played by Krystal Jewel Island), and the playbill.

This is a review of Ain't Misbehavin'. BPT sang "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter."

This is the playbill and some pictures from The Music Man. BPT sang "Gary Indiana" and "The Wells Fargo Wagon."
